When I try and use my phone normally the screen comes up very blurry, you can see it is the most recent contacts black and red, missed calls, etc, just no way to do anything with the screen. I can use Siri and call that way but the other is not legible at all. Anyone have suggestions?

I had this same issue and i was able to resolve it. I double clicked the home button and closed all apps by swiping them to the top. Then i reopened the phone app and it was normal.
My iPhone 8 plus is causing phone mode goes blurry. Using iOS 11.1.2. What should I do?
It only happens on the phone app for my wife on one page when she gets calls and then go to RECENTS call page....

I just got the iPhone X. It does not blur (though my wife's iPhone 7 Plus still does).
Condescending and unhelpful. IndysDad actually provided a solution. And you have no idea how many people it's happening to. Do you think they all report it?

How is the blurriness problem going since you posted this? Is there still a correlation to the recents page?
Same thing has been happening to my I-8. I go to get my voicemail and end up with a blurry listing and frozen. It happened again today.
This is more than a simple inconvenience, since you lose access to the phone app and keypad you can't call 911 in an emergency, this could be life threatening.
As I learned from someones post and have posted my experience, the following will get you back on track in about 5 seconds.
This happened to me once and solved it once this way: Double click home. Swipe left/right until phone app is on top. Swipe up to close. Opened phone and it was working normally.
Sure this is a work around but it is simple and quick. Apple will fix it in the next update.

I have the iphone8 and am having same issue. Happened few times last several weeks and again yesterday & day before. Very random. Also having issues when I type a text phone goes black for a second & text I was typing is gone. Just got rid of 6 that had the issues with battery like what happened with 6s. Because not the s version wouldn’t replace the battery so I had to pay for it. Apple really needs to address all these issues or people are not going to be so loyal to them. Hoping our x’s we get this week don’t have this issue!
I saw a related issue. When listening to a downloaded playlist from iTunes there is an image of the album which the song came from. Sometimes the image will be blurry. When the next song is played the image is fine.
Not that big of a deal, just reporting it.
My other half she is notorious for leaving apps open all the time. I now tell her to shut them down all the time(since the factory reset/restore). I do seem to remember (?) though that she still got the fuzzy screen once but we are now up to 12 days and no fuzzzzzz
