ios 11 Keyboard in Text Messages

When texting and typing emails, I actually use commas and periods. When holding my iPhone horizontally my commas and period is right on the keyboard and there is no need to toggle.

Now, after upgrading to ios 11, my comma and period key are no longer on my keyboard.

WHERE DID THEY GO APPLE???

WHY would you take this away?????

I could not agree more. This was an awful idea. They seemingly shrunk the keyboard to just the middle of the screen and removed the extra helpful buttons. I noticed this morning when I turned my phone sideways to respond quickly to an email and immediately thought it must be a setting. No such luck. Definitely a step backwards Apple.

This is really weird. My keyboard goes edge-to-edge (no grey area on the sides). I have an iPhone-7 with IOS 11.01. Because of the removed keys (accessible through 123), my keyboard is actually larger than it had been previously. You guys are not the first to report a shrunken keyboard. I tried everything that I could think to replicate the issue but I'm unable to do so.

Ironically, I never use landscape view!
