Mac reboots after shutdown (not restarting!)

Hi,

For the past few weeks my Mac turns itself on randomly. This either happens straight after I shutdown, or around 15 - 30 minutes after I shutdown.

I have so far tried to no fix:

1 - erased disk

2 - reinstalled macOS

3 - NVRAM reset

4 - SMC reset

5 - hardware diagnostics (no errors found)

Im out of ideas... anyone have anything else I should try before I put this in the tip

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

It could be briefly losing power and restarting when the power is restored.User uploaded file

To eliminated that notion.....

1. Go to: Apple > System Preferences > Energy Saver and make sure that "Start up after a power failure" is un-checked.

2. Check all of your power connects, including your Surge Protector and/or Battery Backup if applicable.

3. Reset the SMC again, as per > Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Unplug the power cord.
  3. Wait 15 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back in.
  5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on your Mac.
