Open network utility via spotlight , see that link status should be : Active

Why would Apple do away with such an essential tool???????????

Agreed - the subtle but continual reduction of diagnostics tools in OSX which has been happening for years is only making Mac less appealing 😟

I am very frustrated with the lack of Network Assistant.

How can we communicate this to Apple?

What if you are not using Wifi, anyway this has already been mentioned, and there is a solution for those that have a Sierra backup.

Why can't people read the whole thread? It's already been stated several times in this thread that WiFi diagnostics is NOT the same as Network Diagnostics!

Have you read through this discussion, this has all been said before and is not in itself a solution.
