I have a 2012 MacBook Pro and I downloaded this monitor called VitalSigns and it has no readings for CPU die 1 and for the CPU diode. Also, it reads around 40 Degrees Celsius when I turn it on, which is high for a room temperature CPU. I downloaded the Intel Power Gadget and it shows the same temperature. Can I do something to fix this or is the only way to that is to change the mother board?

I assume it does have a sensor for Die 1 because I had another MacBook Pro and it did have that sensor.
If they are identical models, then I would certainly agree with you and this may indicate a failed sensor. However, if they are not, I honestly can't tell you which temperature sensors Apple has enabled across their product line as nothing like this has ever been provided by them that I am aware of.

I don't think this would be unusual. For example, my 2014 Mac mini starts up around 30-32ºC and quickly rises to around 40ºC when idling.
I don't use either of the utilities you do. Instead I have been using Bjango's iStat Menus for the last few years and have been happy with their product.
Are you sure that your particular model of MacBook Pro has a temperature sensor for "CPU Die 1?" ... and that what both utilities display is not then, correct?
