How to stop IOS 11 battery full beeping

With the upgrade to IOS 11 when charging my phone, when it reaches full the phone starts beeping. This is very disturbing at night and requires me to unplug to stop the noise. This then leads to a 90% charged phone by the morning. How can I stop this unnecessary alert?

There is no notification or beep when the phone is fully charged, regardless of the iOS version. There is a problem with the charging cable, the power source, or lint and debris in the lightning port. Clean out the port and / or have the cable and charger checked or replaced.

There are comparatively very few iPhone users who ever even go on this forum, so I don't buy your contention that it can't be a common issue because you aren't seeing them post here. T

That's because you probably haven't been here when there has been a significant bug and the forums are flooded with posts. But, I honestly don't care if you agree with me or not.

Best of luck.

I've seen it many times where a software issue affects one person and not 100 others, all running the same software. There are lots of other factors to consider, especially when looking for something like this. What apps are being used, what settings are used, what combination of hardware is involved etc etc. To blithely dismiss software as a possible issue is to not understand the nature of software.

I am also having this issue with the iPhone 8.

I have tried a generic charger and the official one that came with the unit and two different wireless charging pads.

The cable is connected directly to a USB port on the socket, I have tried with the Apple USB adapter plug also.

Every morning at daft o’clock I get vibrations from my phone that only stop when I unplug the charger cable........ after being rudely awakened.

My 6 didn’t have the issue, my iPad doesn’t have the issue, and nobody else who I know who owns an iPhone has the same issue.

I’m just glad there’s a forum thread to raise the awareness and hopefully resolve the issue.

We have 6 (4 active and 2 non active, from iPhone 4 to 8), and my phone is the only one that ding-ding-ding all night long when fully charged regardless of the charger. I’ve tried cleaning the phone and the charger, and tried charging with different charger but my phone still beeps when it reaches 100% constantly and just as another user, I have to get up in the middle of the night to unplug it. I’m certain it’s the phone...it’s 6/2018 and I have the latest upgrade, what is going on...

I have the same annoying issues! It’s not the power source and it’s not the charger. We have 6 iPhones from versions/generation 4 to 8, and as you might imagine with that many phones in the household, we have an insane amount of chargers all over the house plugged on the wall and also on the serge protector. My phone is the only one that wakes us up in the middle of the night and I want to take the phone and throw it across the room! Why doesn’t Apple look into this..it’s obviously the phone!

I have looked through the notifications and you’re right, there’s no battery 100% tone. As mentioned, we have 6 iPhones, with many different chargers, plugged directly onto the wall outlet as well as on the serge protector. I have tried charging in different rooms and with different chargers and methods but mine is the only one that dings after it reaches 100% so I’ll need to bring it in. I’ll make sure it’s at or near full charge.
