With the upgrade to IOS 11 when charging my phone, when it reaches full the phone starts beeping. This is very disturbing at night and requires me to unplug to stop the noise. This then leads to a 90% charged phone by the morning. How can I stop this unnecessary alert?

There is no notification or beep when the phone is fully charged, regardless of the iOS version. There is a problem with the charging cable, the power source, or lint and debris in the lightning port. Clean out the port and / or have the cable and charger checked or replaced.
Theres nothing in my port, so obviously it’s just a weak port and poorly designed connection
Yes, obviously all iPhones must suffer from this 'bad' design.
Mine too. If I get a notification the Disturb makes it quiet but the battery 100% then beeps and wakes me. iPhone X on wireless charger
Geniuses said my 6 was garbage and had me use my upgrade to get the 7. Just an fyi... and "the charging ports are actually stronger on the 7's model."

If it was a software issue it would affect ONE BILLION users. So forget that as a possibility.
Yes, but even if it affected only 1% (as your numbers imply) that would be ten million people affected. As far as I can tell from this thread the number reporting is about a dozen.
Well I do agree that there should be no "battery full" beep. What I think I'm seeing is the "start charging" beep happening over and over again.

When you upgraded, did you use a back up from your previous phone? If so, you most likely transferred whatever the problem was from the old phone. I would suggest that you restore the phone to factory state and test it to see if it still happens. If it doesn't, you'll know that it's something in your apps or data. Then begins the hard work of figuring out what.

Yes, there is an issue. Something is wrong. You should consider the wall adapter. Also, try restoring the phone from a back up and testing. Your phone shouldn't do that.

We just have to convince Apple that they made a mistake in the update and it is not our power source. Seems they would notice that every iPhone owner is having the same problems with their plugs. Right?
Actually, very, very few people are having this problem. I understand that doesn't make it any less annoying if you're the one with the problem. But, it's a pretty good indicator that the problem is with your device, not with iOS 11.2.1.
I have also this problem since the last IOS update (11.2.5), with battery case connected :
when I use the phone, the main battery is drained a little; then, when the phone is locked, the case's battery charges the main battery to 100% again, and then I get the bzzz notification. Very annoying... it's all day.
Maybe something was changed in 11.2.5 concerning the batteries management ?
