Does the iphone 8 plus need a screen protector

Personally, I did not have one on my 6s. However, now that I've ventured into the 8 Plus arena, I feel more comfortable having a screen protector. It's a pretty large glass surface I'd rather preserve, so I opted for a MAXFEND screen protector off of Amazon.

No matter how careful you are with your iPhone, without a screen protector, it will get micro-scratches. They won't necessarily detract from your overall viewing quality, but why take that chance? And if you drop your phone without a screen protector, you're more likely to suffer a cracked screen. Given these two examples, it just makes sense to put a screen protector on an expensive, nearly $1K device.
