Found a fix! My friend and I deleted all conversations in Messages that had the word "I.T" in it. Lo and behold, the keyboard has stopped autocorrecting it to "I.T"! This worked on both my iPhone and iPad. Very weird ... "I.T" may be like an unwanted STD that spreads from phone-to-phone 😁 Hope this works for others.
Settings-General-Keyboards-Autocorrect and toggle off.
Try turning off Predictive under Keyboard and see if that solves your problem.
Thanks mate. Will that turn off autocorrect completely (I still need it sadly) or just for that word?
Nope, but just realised I havnt downloaded the most recent patch... #fail. Will try that next
I have the latest patch, 11.0.2, and both my iPhone and iPad have started doing this tonight. I've tried everything: Reset Keyboard Dictionary; delete any text replacement entries; toggle off-then-on all settings under Keyboard; etc. The only thing that seems to work is using a third-party keyboard, which I'd rather not do.
A friend of mine in Arizona had the same issue start on his phone last Friday. Very weird bug. The only thing I can think of is Apple's Differential Privacy keyboard is spotting a "trend" and slowly pushing it out across some devices. Wish their algorithm knew this is a bug and not a "trend" to further propagate.

"But in iOS 10, Apple will use differential privacy to identify language trends across its billions of users — so you’ll get the magical experience of your keyboard suggesting new slang before you’ve ever used it."
Whenever I type the word it my iPhone autocorrects it to I.T every time (!), how do I fix this?
