Finder tab switching very slow

After upgrading to the public release of High Sierra, Finder has become more and more slow. I have 5 or 6 Finder tabs open at any given time while I work and clicking to switch between them causes the rainbow beach ball to show up and ~10 seconds later the tab switches. The tabs I have open are all local folders in the iCloud drive-designated area, more or less.

I'm on a 2015 MacBook Pro with 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB Ram, 250GB Flash storage, 60.91GB free.

Any ideas or reported bugs of this nature?

com.macpaw.CleanMyMac3.Agent.plist (MacPaw Inc. - installed 2017-10-24)

Uninstall CMM3 according to the developer's instructions: How to uninstall CleanMyMac 3. Knowledge Base - MacPaw

It's considered akin to malware around here.

Also uninstall the Seagate drive software. it's not needed for High Sierra to use the external HDs.

An update: per my last post, the solution that works for me every time is this: when I notice that switching tabs in finder is running slow, I check Activity Monitor -- and every time Finder is taking huge % of memory, so I just use the Force Quit function to relaunch the Finder. Finder relaunches with regular memory consumption, and tab switching is zippy. I have no clue what leads to Finder eating memory over time, but this solution always works for me.
