iOS 11 battery life when using Strava

Since I’ve updated my iPhone 6s to iOS 11 I have noticed that the battery life is very poor & where I could use my iPhone 6s to record my strava events ( roughly 4 or 5 hours cycling) now that I’m using iOS 11 my fully charged iPhones dies after 3.1/2 hours. When I’m cycling WiFi & Bluetooth are switched off. So the questions are :-

1. What is causing my battery to drain of power so quickly?

2. If I use low power mode will strava continue to work?

Hope for a remedy soon

Under Battery you can check which apps are using most of the resources.

Just on Strava, I used that app during the last 24 hours and also had MapMyWalk running to cover the same route.

Strava, for some reason, used much less power than MapMyWalk although they both ran for the same time.

1) Many users have commented on shorter battery life since upgrading but there is no known solution at this time. Others have stated there is no obvious change. It may simply be an issue of which apps are being used and how efficient these apps are in power management.

2) There are reports Strava does work in low power mode but I have not checked myself.

Me too! I wish I got 3.5 hours with Strava on IOS11. From 100% to 0% is about 40 minutes with Strava and Airpods. It's not just Strava. I will go from 100% to 0% without even using my phone in about 5 hours. Before IOS11, I had great battery life. I could ride all day and listen to music. Now I'm either going to downgrade to IOS10 or just do what Apple wants me to do and upgrade my phone.
