How do I update to Sierra from Yosemite?

Is it still available? I can't find it anywhere.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), Mid 2014, 2.2 GHz i7, 16Gb, 250Gb

Follow up.

The installer I downloaded was from the Brasil Apple store, and WAS the full Sierra installer. No idea why Apple decided to prevent customers from downloading it.

However for me, it gave a lot of problems with Apple Mail, well documented by other users online. So, I went ahead and updated to High Sierra.

Today I find out anyone can login using "root" and no password.

That's kind of why I usually hold off a bit before updating to Apple's latest offerings.

Ok, so I found a download on one of the online stores. All 5gb of it. v10.12.6.03. Is that the latest version?

I really can't why Apple should be so pedantic. From what I've read the current version is still a bit hairy. Not making this one easily available is going to mess a lot of people (customers) up.

Thanks for the help!

Yeah, you got me thinking, so now I'm downloading the 10.12.6 combo updater, which IS called "macosupdcombo10.12.6.dmg". And it looks like it's only 1.98 Gb, so I'm hoping the Sierra installer, (actually called "Install macOS Sierra.app"), which I downloaded from another Apple app store, is not malware.

And it's 5.03 Gb, so looks real enough. If not, you guys get the last laugh.
