Apple Watch Series 2 running slower on OS 4.0

Has anyone else noticed how slowly Apple Watch Series 2 running slower on OS 4.0 now runs Siri for calling or starting an exercise app. It's so slow now I might as well go back to Fitbit! Only had my Apple Watch 2 for 3 months so a little ****** off to say the least. It seems like they do this every time when they do an update with new equipment coming out they make the old version slower intentionally. There little point in using the Siri call function now as it's quicker to get your phone out of your pocket unlock it, select the phone app and call your self. Barking mad!!! Apple Pay now never works the first time and ask me to try again later, press it again and it works!

The following steps may help, having resolved a similar performance issue for another user:

If you have not yet done so, update your iPhone to the latest software:

Update the iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Restart both your iPhone and your Apple Watch, turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support
If the issue persists, next close all open apps on your iPhone and then restart both devices again.

Unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch:

The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app.
Initially choose to Restore from Backup during set up (most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions, such as Apple Pay cards, passcode).
If the issue persists, consider instead unpairing and setting it up as a new watch.

The apple recommended answer which always is "Have you tried turning it on and off again? Have you updated you watch iPhone iMac?"

It's poor usability!

For someone who uses apple watch everyday for over 15 hours and also works out at a gym/run, charges phone and watch every day, it's PITA to do everything manually. Even after manual updates, 100% charge, restarting, the older versions have been getting slower as they release new versions.

My apple watch struggles to open a simple workout from the workout app. (The software updates take 35 minutes too)

If your Dock setting is currently set to Recents, then it may help to change it to Favourites:

I've just updated my Apple Watch 2 to watchOS 4.2 and it seems to work fine now!

4.2 has done nothing to address these problems with Series 2 watches; if anything it made things even slower.

The problem with Apple compared with android is that they give no options for people to downgrade to older iOS or watchOS. We are permanently stuck with with ****** user experience.

I gave up on using the music on the watch some time ago, it doesn't work when any other app like the run app is going.

I'm also having the same problem. Series 2 (although I've had it for about a year, since it came out). I hope they fix this soon!

Completely agree - HATE the new workout design and runs very slow...I’m in the gym pressing my watch face about 6 times to get it to go into Elliptical!

Slow switch between apps and screens.
