No, it's an opinion.
1. From USA Today COT 1, 2017 "iOS 11 killed my battery life. Here's how I finally revived it and you can, too"
Provide a link. If it's like most click-bait headlines, though, that article will say that people reported that their battery life had decreased, which in the cases that it it was iOS 11 related, probably had to do with some changes in preferences. I will grant you that iOS 11 did seem to change some settings for no discernable reason.
2. October 5, 2017 "The analysis from mobile security company Wanderaclaimed the average battery decay for an iPhone running iOS 10 under constant use is 240 minutes. For devices that have upgraded to iOS 11, the decay time is just 96 minutes."
They have a pretty graph but they give no indications of how they arrived at those numbers. They also use the word "Assume" way too much. The article was publish two days after iOS 11 was released. The update to iOS 11 required a lot of background housekeeping. Almost everyone experienced decreased battery life for a day or two as a result. Once the background processes were complete, the issue was resolved. Also, this article is now four version of iOS 11 out of date.
3. iPhone8 release date September 22, 2017
4. iPhone X release date November 3, 2017
5. IOS 11 release date September 19, 2017
Okay, yes, those items are facts. I don't dispute them.
