Does that also mean that i cant open safari for the next week or so or can i still open safari to do things and it will still delete the documents and data after a week. Plus are u 100% sure that it will delete after a week or so

After doing a lot of research and talking to Apple Support, it seems the documents and data will delete itself over time. I just my Safari‘s Documents and data and it is no longer taking up 7 GB, it’s only taking up 5 MB.

12.3gb for me. Same issue. 10% of my storage ...

Did you try this step too?

Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data... and then restart your device

If nothing helps, access again your website for sharing files and contact the support team.

Unfortunatley, all you can do is wait for Safari to decide when to clear the Documents and Data. It took about a week for the Documents and Data to clear for me. I had about 7 GB used. It just cleared up today.

I have the same problem, I downloaded a larger file and I cannot erase Document & Data in Safari.

I have the same issue and have tried the steps you have mentioned already (no luck).The source of the issue is safari was downloading a zip file.

I am having the same issue. Safarai documents and data are taking up 5G & I cant figure out how to get rid of it. I hope someone has the answer.

until this is solved I am switching to Chrome. When you download a file using Chrome it does not do this.

I am experiencing same issue. 5GB in Safari's Documents and data. What does it mean that it will delete itelf over time? Doing nothing? is there anything we can do to accelerate it?

I have about 3GB on documents and data on safari. So if i wait about a week or so, safari will clear the documents and data by its self and go back to taking up lower storage??
