it is set for 15 minutes but it is not going into sleep mode.. checked the device and where the menu was and it is on the home screen.. so it should sleep.. please assist...

I disabled the setting on my Samsung TV that allows the Samsung Smart Remote to control Apple TV. If you have a newer Samsung TV, you press the home button on the remote, select Source, select Universal Remote, then disable the remote from controlling Apple TV. Once I did this, Apple TV stays in sleep mode. I think it must be something with the universal remote sending a signal to Apple TV causing it to wake up.
Where is this setting on the samsung TV?

Someone suggested if you are have a Harmony controller, re-install the ATV 4k device then check off the option that the device has no ON/OFF button. So, I use the Harmony to turn of the TV and Amplifier, the I wake up the ATV 4K with it's controller. Put the ATV 4K to sleep by its controller and it's menu and wait for a black screen the use the Harmony to power off the TV and amplifier. The ATV 4k never wakes. This seams solve the problem,
I fixed mine by going to Apple TV settings and changed sleep time to 15 minutes. It worked for a month then it started doing it again so I went back into settings set to 30 minutes then back to 15 minutes and it’s been working fine ever since.
Oh but one thing, if I shut it down it will still go back on by itself. It only goes to sleep after I haven’t used it for 15 minutes. It’s better then staying on forever.
