Tried all of that and still having same issues. It happens on multiple wifi networks. I reset my router although I’m not having any issues on other devices, and also reset network settings as well as soft reset on my device. I actually updated software to latest 11.0.3 and it seems like it disconnects even more frequently after the update.

thank you for the suggestion. The auto join was turned off. I turned it on and the problem on my iPhone 8+ seems to be fixed.
Yes my problem is fixed. I no longer disconnect from wi-fi and it automatically connects when I arrive at home.
I have the “auto-join” I think you need to be connected to wi-fi for it to pop up. Hope this helps I know how frustrating it is
The only option that I have in the "i" menu is on and it stills disconnect when locked.

5ghz keeps disconnecting while locked. 2.4ghz doesnt disconnect for me. This was solved before 11 and rose again with 11
May I ask you if you have DSL/ADSL provider or is it a public network that requires a login? I don’t have that option due to fiber > router > Wifi

There is nothing related to the ISP or internet point of connection!!
I understand. But why don’t I have that option? I think not everyone has it, and I’m teying to understand why.

I was having the same issue but turns out it was from my router.
One day I restarted it and the problem just went away.
Tried all this. Doesn't work. Many friends have the same problem. There's clearly an Apple software issue that needs fixing.
Same problem never had the issire before iphone 8. My ipad and Mac book stay connected but the iphone 8 drops wifi all the time.
I managed to fix my issue with the auto join option mentioned in other posts on his feed. Give it a try just in case
