PS to l1magz: After Apple replaced your phone, did you go home and restore your apps/data from a backup? Did you go into Settings and change many settings from the defaults?
I remain concerned that some setting change may trigger this problem. When I was on iOS 11.0.2, which did work for me, I turned off Siri in all of my apps and then later decided to turn off Siri completely. This didn’t cause a problem in iOS 11.0.2, but I am wondering if it might have tickled a bug in 11.0.3. Is this possibly a setting change that everyone who is having this loss of cell service problem did?
I am going to the Apple Store this AM just to get the phone erased and get a clean version of iOS installed. I then plan to not make any further changes other than reinstalling directly from the App Store some of my most crucial apps like Google Maps, Weather Channel, setting up my email accounts, and reconnecting my Apple Watch (original version). Will then let that sit for a couple of days and see if things continue to work before making further changes.
It would be really helpful if other people would provide more details of their environment to see if there is a common thread. As you can read in other problems above, there are people with iPhones ranging from 5-7 Plus using ATT that are not having cell service loss, so some setting change from defaults or app installation must be to blame.
Thanks in advance!
