IOS 11.0.3 problems

I‘ve seen in other posts that some people have been able to get their devices to perk back up by resetting their settings. You can do this by going to Settings > General > Reset, then click on “Reset All Settings”. This will reset all the settings that you have set and you’ll have to set them again, and I would suggest changing them one at a time and see if it effects the device stability. This way you’ll be able to isolate the settings that may be effecting the effectiveness of your device. Make sure if your doing this you don’t click on Erase All Content and Settings as this will erase EVERYTHING on your iPad and you would then have to restore everything back unless this is something that you are ready to do.

If you’re OK in terms of memory, try a simple Restart. Never hurts...

Try these two troubleshooting methods. Perform a Restore only if Restart doesn't solve your issue.

Update, I tried a hard reset and that seems to have helped. iPad has been on for over 2.5 hours ans still showing 100%. It was locking up and not charging even when plugged in with an apple brick and cable. After the reset (and it took a lot to get the iPad to do it), it seems better. The proof will be when using for an extended period.

Agreed! Apple suggested that I restore my phone from a backup. My biggest problem was that I wasn't getting any notifications sounds for text alerts, calendar and even phone calls! So far, the restore helped BUT, the next day, I got a notification that I had a text from someone in my contacts but it wasn't actually from that person! When I clicked on the text, the name changed to the correct person! Strange. Good luck. I think we're all just waiting for 11.0.4.

I’m on an iPad. I’m having issues with apps doing this weird kind of freezing thing. For example, when I’m on a Facebook, everything works normally for a bit, then it kind of freezes - I can scroll through my timeline, but I clicking on article links, likes and comments does nothing. I also cannot change my timeline from top stores to most recent stories. All I can do is scroll. Games and email are the same way - I can scroll and move around, but tapping on any link does nothing. Also, some apps just won’t open after the update when they did right before. And I HATE the new keyboard layout. Thank God I read about the key flicks - it is not a great new feature, as Rysz says. It’s horrible! I wish I could go back to 11.0.2. 😡

I am having nothing but problems with the update (11.0.3). Apps freeze, sometimes close right after opening. Sometimes voice commands don’t work. Phone is overall slow. The phone itself will freeze (become unreaponsive to the point that I can’t even shut it down). Occasionally the phone will shutdown on its own. I have a 7plus (bought new only a year old) and I’m only taking up 28 gigs. I have already told everyone I know that has iPhones not to do the update. I am ready to say farewell to Apple. These devices are way to expensive to be having unreliable software issues like this. Do I really need to go back to Samsung to have a reliable device? I only switched to the iPhone to try something new. I am starting to regret that.

It’s a great new feature called “Key Flicks.“ It allows for typing of the character at the top of the key by flicking (sliding) down on the key, without having to switch the keyboard to the 123 mode. You can turn it off in settings.

Don't Samsung devices explode? I would rather have a minor software issue, wouldn't you? I'll never buy another Samsung anything, ever. Never.

i have exactly same problems....my beloved perfect running iphone 6s is totally ****** up after this iOS 11.0.3 update!

come on Apple...get the stuff back right!

Exactly the same things I have been with Apple since iPhone 4. And this is the worst update I have every seen. I have to restart my phone (power and volume key) a few times a day!!!!! The the battery? I have never seen my battery on my iPhone 7 Plus this bad! Horrible. I am extremely upset about this. How many billions do u need to make the software “normal” like they been for the last ten years?

Everyone seems to be suffering with iOS 11.0.3!!

Phone hangs

Touch screen doesn’t work

Network does not connect

Apps shut down or crash

Can’t connect to my home security cameras

Battery life is down to 50%

Mobile data takes ages to download ....have to keep switching to Airplane Mode every time!

All this when I was looking forward to buying the new iPhone X!!!!!

I have these same issues with my iPad, with one very irritating addition. I can charge my iPad (battery lasts about 49 minutes), to 100%, close all apps, swipe and turn off the iPad. Get up the next morning, turn it on it shows 100% then 3 seconds later shuts down showing a small red line for no battery. This is so annoying I am ready to trash this expensive boat and use my tablet! Any idea when they are going to fix this IOS?

Having multiple issue like all other users. I never had such a bad experience before when upgrading to newer IOS version.

Hope to see an update soon with all the fixes.
