Siri no longer works while in a car

Siri no longer works while in a car, regardless of whether I am driving or parked. She won't access the web. No more hands-free questions. I don't see a setting to turn this off. This is pretty frustrating. Apple fail. The only ways around this is to text while driving. I used to be able to ask Siri simple questions by pressing a button on my steering wheel. Now I have to pick up the phone and text my question into a browser because Siri says she can't access the web while I am in a car. I already have Do Not Disturb While Driving turned off, but this shouldn't affect anyway. How can I use Siri again??

Sorry. I guess I was misleading and dramatic. Siri "works", it is not a question of connection. However, Siri will not connect to the web. I can press the steering wheel button and get Siri to phone or text someone. I can probably even add Notes or Reminders. However, when I ask a question, the response is "I cannot connect to the web while you are [in the car]" I don't recall the precise words, but regardless of whether the engine is running or off and the car is parked or moving, the response is always that Siri cannot connect to the web. I used to be able to do this, but I can't now. I have tried all settings I could find, thinking it is related to the new DoNotDisturbWhileDriving, but so far no luck
