High Sierra Safari Input Form Display Extreemly slow

High Sierra 10.13

MacBook Pro 15 inches Early 2013

I kept seeing these issues -

1> When using Safari, data input became extreemly slow, after typing about 10 characters, I will start seeing the first character shows up.

2> AppleSpell kept running at 100% CPU (even through total CPU usage is not high). This process also reaches 30, 40, 60GB memory. Memory pressure becomes high....

3> My VMWare crashes once every 1 hour (I assume caused by AppleSpell).

4> Sometimes Macos also crashes.

P.S. In case you are wondering, I am using Chrome to input all these texts. Safari becomes unusable for me. Sigh ....

According to Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support, "If an issue doesn't happen in safe mode, you might have incompatible login items."

If Login Items are not a factor, then there may be some other software or process on that Mac interfering with Safari and / or AppleSpell. To find out, look in each of the following locations for any files you do not recognize:

~/Library/LaunchAgents

/Library/LaunchAgents/

/Library/LaunchDaemons/

To navigate to them, copy and paste each one of the above lines into the Finder's Go menu > Go to Folder...field.

By default Apple installs nothing in any of those folders, which means that you should be absolutely certain everything they contain is required for software that you need. Post their contents if you are uncertain.
