i have a folder which contains all my music bought over the years from different music stores, including iTunes. I'd like to know how to organize all songs by the title. currently, when i add songs to Automatically add to iTunes folder, it gets sorted by artist in the Windows explorer, even when i haven't checked that option in iTunes.

If you let iTunes organize the songs that are added to the library they are organized into subfolders by (Album) Artist, then Album. The same goes for anything ripped from CD, downloaded from the store, converted from one format to another, or placed in the Automatically Add to iTunes folder. It really shouldn't matter exactly where the files are stored as long as iTunes or any other application you want to use can find them.
