any recommendation for such app? (except the Unarchiver from MacPaw!)

You associate your RARs to that app or you can drag your RAR on top of that app (or an alias) and it will open. WinZip is free if you just use it to unzip (or unrar), but if you want to compress you need the full version AFAIK
MacPAR deLuxe works well
Why not "The Unarchiver"? It's probably the best available.
WinRar has an OSX version, see link above.
Don't worry about The Unarchiver: that is a good one, Macpaw or not.

Only they know. MacPaw is not a popular corporation on this forum and it's unlikely you will see a recommendation to use their products on these forums.
Don't worry about The Unarchiver (Appstore). It wokrs and even if you take it apart and check the programming there is nothing wrong detectable. Worry about the other app from MacPaw: CleanMy Mac.

I confused the WinZip with WinRar ( WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files )
This one works only with command line.
WinRAR does not make a Mac version, and it's not limited to command line. I use WinRAR on Windows, and it has a GUI.

I use WinRar in Windows. A good "zipper/unzipper" of russian make.
