Gmail Freezing when searching emails?

Hi!

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if anyone can help at all.

Anytime I do a search in my gmail for a specific email, the screen gets stuck in search mode after I’ve viewed that email.

Basically once I’ve completed the search, I’ll go into an email to review it and then when I come out of it, the blue cancel link and grey x is right up in the right hand corner underneath the battery indicator and no amount of pressing either will have any effect. The only way to get out of that search is to close my gmail down and reopen it. (Which is especially a pain if I just want to go back to my inbox, to do another search/read another email etc).

Is this a glitch/bug? Anyone else experiencing it and any ideas of how I can fix/rectify it at all?
