I am trying to import photos from my iphone 6s (version 11.0.3 15A432) to my Mac Pro (Late 2013, OS 10.13 (17A405)) using Photos application.
I have the 'erase photos after transfer' option selected.
It seems to transfer some files, and the process lasts for a while, however, in the end no new photos appear in my photos app, and nothing is erased from the phone.
The error I see is this:

My main disk is case sensitive.
One question: In my case, the error is shown after a long process of copying. Do you see the problem, before, or after this process in the case of copying -from- the case sensitive device?
I highly suspect, Apple has botched the implementation of case sensitive names in their software. I wouldn't be surprised, since I experience so many software issues in High Sierra.
It is not the hard drive. I have tried it on multiple Macs now. New and old. It simply doesn't work.
By any chance, do you have a case-sensitive filesystem like mine?
No I created this library directly in this drive. In sierra It was working fine but now the combination High Sierra with iOS 11 don’t work...
My main disk is case sensitive.
This will only be problematic, if the main disk is case sensitive and the external drive with the Photos Library not. The case-sensitivity should match.
