Latest Boot Camp Driver verion 6 - How to Get

Hello folks.

In another thread I am reporting that the drivers downloaded using Boot Camp Assistant of the very latest Sierra, for 64 bit version of Windows 10 do not apparently completely work because I am not able to adjust the brightness of the display on my MBP mid-2012.

After some exploring, I am able to run a setup program which is downloaded by BC assistant for the Nvidia graphics controller. The setup program reports that the setup failed, but after a couple of minutes the controlls become available. I am then able to control the brightness of the display until I restart the machine when I will no longer have control over the display brightness.

I am being told that perhaps the drivers that are downloaded are not compatible with Windows 10 even though there are folders specifically for Windows 10, 64 bit platform.

The only way that I know to download the drivers is through Boot Camp Assistant, and I am not able to choose the version that I want to download. The next thing I am going to do is to see if Nvidia has an updated driver, but in the mean time I am here asking if anyone knows a way to be sure that the latest drivers are in fact downloaded and if not, how can I download them via Boot Camp Assistant or any other way.

Because of the reset to default after a restart, I think this could be a Windows problem rather than Boot Camp. But the driver fails at installation, so I have yet to isolate the source of the problem.

Thanks for any insight.
