How do I change the text color when adding text using the markup tool in Photos for iOS 11? For example, I'd like to change from the default black text to white text since the location that I'm placing the text in my photo the background is dark. Thanks in advance.

I’m having the same problem editing a photo previously taken (not in the screenshot tool).
I’ve selected the white color selector first, then the + to add text, but the text remains black.

I just looked reeeeeeeally closely, and the option to change colors is there, but since the default text color is black, the dot blends in with the toolbar area. I’m attaching a photo with the dot circled in red.
Yes, I've tried that. Cannot get it to work, always reverts to black. I went to the User Guide first to see if it gave instructions.

You just click on tap below again , a color seems disappear but when you click on below tab near aA picture on the left color tab will show
Have you tried to click the blue circle in the markup toolbar to change the color of the markup?

Thank you SO MUCH for this information. I've been trying to figure it out but couldn't see the black button against the black background. Seems the programmer was trying to have a good time at everyone's expense!
