Why won't High Sierra save Jabber account passwords to keychain?

Adium is another superfluous entity! We talk about problem with jabber client in messages.app, not about another jabber clients.

why reply to this thread Maximus? We're trying to get apple to fix a bug. Do you not have anything better to do?

better to do i think - wait for apple answer ;( high sierra 10.3.2 update not fixed this problem ;(

This did not work for me. Is there a safe way to clear all keychains and start fresh?

I did that and it created a second jabber keychain. It's still asking me for a password every time.

Actually, just got it to work. I switched "jabber" to "Jabber" after walking through the steps.

That was the issue for me too. In order to fix annoying password prompt, I changed the Where to Jabber, changed lowercase "j" to uppercase "J" in Name and deleted @talk.com at the end of Account

For whatever reason I did not have "com.apple.account.jabber.password" in my keychain, so I just added it manually. Now it works.
