Me too
It means double-click the side button rather than "double-tap" the screen. This allows Face ID for installation. This is very awkward wording for the iPhone X interface because the distinction between clicking and tapping is subtle. It should say "double-click button" just to avoid confusion by thousands of users who have obviously searched for the answer.
WOW - you are right, and I NEVER would have thought that was the problem. Thank You !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm having this same problem today. I have installed a couple apps with iPhone X, but today I can not.
The double click feature is on the right end edge of phone.... keeps moving in and out but I can not click it.
I have the same issues and I’m telling me to double click and I’m doing that and nothing happenin
Thank a lot Bro
Thank you! This did the trick for us. Apple could have designed this better. An actual arrow instead of a “slide-looking-button/thing” would have been a MUCH better design.
I agree not very intuitive. Personally, I think the consumer was let down.
Did not know that.
Thanks.
This doesn’t work on my side as well. Tried it many times on various apps. Still nothing happens!! Is there a specific behavior for double-click ??
Thanks for the info...
Yes you are absolutely correct. Pressing the button on the side of the iPhone worked. Thanks.
who me? yes me!
But in all fairness the text should include an arrow to the button, not just a line allong the edge of the screen.
Thank you!!! That was driving me crazy! I couldn’t figure out where to double tap!
seems to me someone wants us to disable ID for downloads, it would be nice if they offered disable double click but still required password for the first install but for quickly [5 or 10 min] following installs its not required. what say you?
App Store double click to install... nothing happening
