I believe what you're seeing is expected behavior.

Hi there. I am having the same problem on my iPhone X. When I set brightness to low all dark gray colors show as a green and the display stays pretty bright. I first noticed it in iBooks when I used night mode at night. It is system wide but only happens when the brightness is lowered to 95-100%. Attached is my iPad and iPhone at lowest brightness in iBooks. You can see the difference is pretty drastic. I talked to Apple support and they had me try a few things, including resetting phone to factory settings and it still showed green. I am taking it in to an Apple store next week for them to look over. Let me know if you find any fixes.

I have an appointment on Saturday, but if you get a chance can you let me know how they resolve the issue with your phone? Just curious if it is something they can fix on existing phone or if they will have to swap it out. I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

Oh wow, really? That is not a good way to deal with the problem. Strange that the acknowledged the issue, but are going to wait to do something about it. Do they think it may be updated on the software side? Are they going to have you come back?

Glad I am not the only ones with this issue. Seems mine is the only one affecting the entire screen though. I was wondering how it looked compared to other iPhone X’s so glad you compared them. I have an appointment at the Apple store tomorrow and let everyone know what they say.

Any update? I am having the same issue as well only noticeable at night the top half of my phone has a green tint to it in grey apps and in YouTube videos you can tell the color is washed out from the green tint on the top half.

Same taking mine in on Wednesday, I called but they said it was normal and part of the new Super Retina display. I tried explaining it wasn’t a discoloring from a different angle or shadowing. It’s just an ugly green tint that washes out images lol. Hopefully get a fix would hate to be forced back to an iPhone 8.

I had my appointment today at the Apple Store and they replaced my phone as well. However I am noticing slight green tint in one corner on the new unit. No where near as bad as my other one so I am hoping it doesn’t get any worse.

I also thought that this green tint on top of my display is rather unusual. But my guess is that this problem is App related. I have the problem with the clock App but compass and camera App look normal.

Your first post asked if this was normal with OLED. I attached the article suggesting it is normal. You then said it cannot be normal.
