I have a Mac Pro and a Panasonic gh5 camera I can't download my. Mov video files to the desktop what do I do?

You might be able to, as the other poster said, if it’s on a card, otherwise maybe iMovie and a FireWire cable, if you have them both. I think the trick is to get the Mac to recognize there’s a camera connected-Panasonic should be ok on that-no special formats, I hope. I’m not too familiar with that model of camcorder and I’m typing this on my iPhone. Otherwise you may have to borrow a video capture device,and see if that works. I’d suggest QuickTime player, but I don’t know how well it works for that. Have you tried Panasonic’s website to see if they have any tricks up their sleeves, or if you might need a bit of software..

Have you been using Image Capture?

Do you have a card reader that you can put your cameras card in and connect to your Mac?

Had it been working before?
