macOS High Sierra And My MacBook Pro Video Card Drivers

I'm using my 17-inch, Mid 2010 MacBook Pro with an external Samsung display. The Samsung display has many problems.

I'm wondering whether the macOS High Sierra includes updated drivers for my MacBook Pro(NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB & Intel HD Graphics 288 MB)?

BTW, the display(color and light) looks different after I upgraded to the macOS High Sierra. Is it normal?

Thanks.

In the Displays System Preferences panel, select Scaled instead of Default for Display, and see if that offers you full-screen support for your Samsung monitor.

Color calibration will walk though through a series of steps that have to do with contrast, sharpness, white-point, color balance, etc. It has nothing to do with display resolution. I would try the available Display Profiles before venturing into the calibration process.

What is "calibrate"? What will it do? I googled, but still don't understand.

The Display Profile shows "C32H71X", which is my external Samsung monitor, but I cannot set the display to its default resolution 2560 x 1440. (A problem I mentioned in another post).

So, will recalibrate the monitor also help reset the display resolution?

Thanks.
