why is my volume so low on my iphone 7plus

I always do my updates on my iPhone 7 Plus and it seems like somewhere along the way my volume (while talking to someone up to my ear) has diminished. I have the “ringer and alert” volume all the way up and the ringer (on the side of my phone) all the way up. I don’t know what else I can do to make the volume louder.

To adjust call volume you have to be on a call. It is separate from the general volume settings for music (and separate from Ringer and Alarms, too).

If you can‘t hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound isn‘t clear on your iPhone

I hope you figured out why your ringer is so low? If not, go to settings app, sound and haptic; then look for the words, “change with buttons”. This feature needs to be off. Meaning you cannot see a green bubble. This will make it so that your ringer and volume button work together for everything.
