Safari will not save favorite websites

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that saved websites aren't being added to Favorites in Safari. I'm happy to help.

First, please use the link below to make sure you're following the appropriate steps to add favorites in Safari:
Add bookmarks and favorites - iPad User Guide

If the issue persists, force the Safari app to close and test the issue again.
How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're still unable to save websites to Favorites, restart your iPad. Restarting can resolve many unexpected behaviors.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Please let us know if the behavior continues. Be sure to include any additional troubleshooting steps you may have tried.

Hi. What happens when you try? You visit the site, tap on the Sharing icon in the upper right, select Add Bookmark, and receive a popup where you can edit the name and select the bookmark folder. Can you perform those steps?


If you're looking for the Favorites Bar, have you enabled it in Settings > Safari, and selected the folder to be displayed?
