Speaker placement iPhone X

Hi. I was out of town on the 3rd so I just got my X today and I’m trying to figure everything out. If I look on Apple’s website it shows the stereo speakers as one on the bottom and one on the top of the phone. What is the other grill that is the same size on the bottom for?

Also, how do I turn on auto brightness? Thanks for any help.
