The weather app may not support some smaller cities and regions. I would suggest using weather for the major city in your state/province. The weather app does support most major cities.

Please make sure that you're running the latest version of iOS. You can check this in Settings > General > Software Update. You should be running the latest version, which is iOS 11.1 at time of writing.
