Working with Mac Mini on Macbook Pro

There isn't anything you have to connect really. Here's a linkfrom Apple Support for Screen Sharing.

As long as your Mac Mini and MBP are on the same network either connected via WiFi (wireless) or Ethernet (wired) you can simply enable Screen Sharing on the Macs you want to remote into.

So, let's say:

• Your network name you defined in your router is MyNetwork.
• Your Mac Mini is connected to MyNetwork via ethernet (wired) into your router.
• Your MBP is connected to MyNetwork via WiFi (wireless) into your router.

Let's say you only want to connect to your Mac Mini from your MBP. You would enable Screen Sharing on the Mac Mini. And from your MBP you would open Finder and from the menu bar click on Go To and then Connect to Server. Fill in the connection text box with vnc://IP address of the Mac Mini (eg. vnc://192.168.0.11). Click Connect and you will see a Screen Sharing window open to your Mac Mini.

You can connect - via a Thunderbolt cable - from the MM to the MBP and start the MM in Target Mode. But you would only see the MM's drive from the MBP so you could install an OS or other drive functions.

You can Screen Share from the Macbook Pro to the Mac Mini to work on it after an OS is installed and screen sharing is enabled on the Mac Mini.

Just like Remote Login or GoTomyPC , we connect from One Computer to work on another Computer.

I am looking on something like that. Not just accessing the folder path or Hard drive.

If your Mac Mini and MBP are on the same network, you can use Screen Sharing (enabled on the Mac Mini) to remote into the Mac Mini from your MBP. Otherwise, you have to use something like you mentioned - GoToMyPC or TeamViewer or LogMeIn, etc.- to remote into the Mac Mini.

You only need to set Screen Sharing once. The operating system remembers that it's enabled until you uncheck the Screen Sharing checkbox.

Just make sure if you're transporting both computers elsewhere they are both on the same network.

Besides the Finder / Go / Connect to Server, you can look in Finder's left pane and find your Mac Mini under Shared. Click on the Mac Mini and in the right pane click Share Screen.
