Grayscale stuck on

today my iPhone screen randomly went grayscale And it won't switch off.

Went to Settings -> General -> accessibility -> display accommodations -> colour filters

turn colour filters on and grayscale is ticked

turn colour filters off ant the screen stays in grayscale.

Tried on my wife's identical iPhone and it behaves as expected. Same for my iPad Air 2

Tried power off/on, without and with the home button pressed.

how can I get my I iPhone screen to show colour again?

Hi SEDGE55,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that Grayscale is not turning off when you disable Color Filters from Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations. I’m happy to help you troubleshoot this situation.

Because this situation is unexpected behavior, we’re going to start troubleshooting with some of the more basic steps and then move forward from there.

To begin troubleshooting, first turn off Color Filters in Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations. Once that is complete, close the Settings app completely.

How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

After Settings has been closed, restart your iPhone.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Once your iPhone has restarted, you’ll be able to see if your iPhone is still showing in Grayscale. If it is, check the settings again and let us know about the changes or lack of changes.

Cheers!
