Hello to you from Ukraine. I experienced the same situation just a few days ago. It's just awful!!! I've never expected to have this kind of issue with an Apple product. What's more, I've been using Iphone 8 for 3 days and it's still under warranty but nobody here wants to help me. Home button cracked and I don't know what to do...

Same thing just happened to my phone. All of a sudden the home Buttom is not working and I didn’t drop it or do anything to my phone. It’s like it exploded from the inside. I took it to the store and they want $169 plus tax to fix it. My phone is just over 30 days old. I didn’t pay almost 1k to have it go bad like this. Plus if it goes bad for no reason that means it will continue to happen so I really wish Apple would look into it and fix it.

Hi I’m Maltese too same thing happened to me worst investment I ever made I had this phone for 2 months now mine broke too ...did they tell you if it’s fixable im going at the end of the month they said I have to change the whole screen! The worst thing about this phone that it’s glass

it’s not a guarantee, I explained exactly what happened and they said it might be covered. as of now the assistive touch isn’t too bad to use, I’ve been using it for a month or so and it’s not terrible. I’m sending my phone in in hopes that it will be covered and if not I’ll pay for it, because there’s no way the home button can crack a second time.

Mate you seem to be taking this very personally and would think your paying for the repairs yourself. You're not the owner of apple are you lol 😂. Have I done extensive research into this NO. I just done a google search for cracked home button on iPhone 8 and came across a number of posts for the iPhone 7 & 8 that have had this happen to them for no apparent reason. Then I found the posts in the apple forums as per below screen shot which show a number of people agreeing in the "me too" tab. It may not be thousands or millions of people but enough that obviously there is an unexplained problem with the button cracking.

same exact crack on my phone, continuous loop proceeded. it was never dropped or anything, i don't understand how if the material is so strong then how do i not have scratches on the rest of my phone? Apple needs to fix this problem and refund those who have had to pay already. With the amount of people having the same issue theres no way its just coincidence anymore
