Well, considering that the latest iOS is 11.1.1, you might want to consider updating. However, as I said the screenshot you provided is the latest keypad layout. You don't show what the other one looks like that is so different, so it is hard to determine if there is a problem.

Are both devices on the same iOS? That looks like the keypad on my iPhone 7, using iOS 11.1.1.

To see what iOS the iPhone is on, go to Settings>General>About>Version.

Well I did just see I have all the new features for iOS 11 and my 5s was iOS 10.2 so maybe it’s just the update and I gotta get used to it
