iPhone X shipping delays in Korea

I ordered iPhone X on Oct 27, 3 am EST and it was shipped on 11/07/17.

After it arrived in Incheon, Korea on 11/08/17 at 7:40pm, I have not received any further update, it has been sitting there for approximately 78 hours, is this normal?

UPS World Expedite service commits to deliver in 4-5 days, the expected delivery from day it is shipped is 8-9 days.

Yada, yada, yada. Mine went through Incheon also. Yours probably went to the same K-POP concert as mine. Took about 100 hours before it cleared. Then it went to Anchorage. Perhaps they all had to go that route due to President Trump's visit to Asia.

It's not a guarantee that your phone will go through Korea. My phone shipped from China, on November 13th. Spent a couple days sightseeing there, then went straight to Alaska, decided it was too cold there and immediately flew to Louisville, KY, where it lounged around for 2 days, then on to Jacksonville, FL for some fun in the sun over the weekend and was delivered to me in Tampa on the 20th. It never visited Korea.

I think mine is on the same pallet as yours. UPS told me will have to clear customs in SKorea as well as China and that there has been a delay on all Apple shipments. My original arrival date per UPS was Nov 21, then 22 now unknown. Apple (original arrival date Nov 24) told me I have to really on UPS tracking so no one can tell me when it will get here.

Mine looks the same as yours.

Apple says to expect it sometime on Friday, but I don't know.

According to UPS, its still in China:

I'm glad it finally left china.

WHY DOES IT NEED TO SIT IN CHINA FOR OVER A WEEK?

ARE THEY PLAYING WITH MY PHONE BEFORE IT CAN LEAVE CHINA?

Thanks UPS for the great information . . .

Take a look at mine. This is absurd. UPS has no clue what is going on. They told me its a customs issue. For a logistics company, they are not logical. So customs ships to china then to Korea and back to China and then back to Korea 4 times? Apple apparently checked on this for me and so called escalated my issue. Take a look at my tracking info below. Its like groundhog day for shipping.

Then apple shouldn't charge you until the phone is activated. Are they going to pro-rate the phone and refund me the week that I am waiting to receive the phone? Was the phone really shipped as it states or are they just trying to recognize revenue for before year end. For me, its not a spite thing, I am not an apple is the only product out there type of person. I have used the Samsung before as a bunch of my friends have it. It's not a threat, just a statement. A statement I have heard from other people so something Apple should take too lightly. I have no issue switching and trying something else. And you cant pass off the issues solely on UPS. If there are issues with the shipping company, Apple should look at other companies or to make it right with the customer. I am assuming this is causing them a ton of customer service issues that they would rather not have to deal with.

Also, I am not sure if you took a look at my tracking information. The frustration is trying to figure out whether this phone was actually shipped. Apple nor UPS can answer this for me, especially UPS, they are clueless. They have no idea what is going on. How does a phone go back and forth for times from china to Korea for a week. For over a $1000 phone, both companies should be able to give me an answer.

I would be frustrated too. So please don't think I disagree with your frustration. There really is no shipping service that is trouble free. I've seen many here suggest Fedex. I've had so many issues with Fedex and indeed there was a time when Apple used them. They don't anymore, likely because the shipping headaches they caused (though I have no proof that's why they don't use them). Your ping pong shipping history is odd for sure. My point is it will come and this will pass. As to your billing issues, Apple gets paid the minute the phone goes to preparing to ship. It's always been that way. I'm quite sure your carrier is not charging you anything as you have not activated the phone. But if you paid via the trade up program it would be normal you'd start to pay once your phone ships even if you don't have it in your hands.
