iPhone X shipping delays in Korea

I ordered iPhone X on Oct 27, 3 am EST and it was shipped on 11/07/17.

After it arrived in Incheon, Korea on 11/08/17 at 7:40pm, I have not received any further update, it has been sitting there for approximately 78 hours, is this normal?

UPS World Expedite service commits to deliver in 4-5 days, the expected delivery from day it is shipped is 8-9 days.

Yada, yada, yada. Mine went through Incheon also. Yours probably went to the same K-POP concert as mine. Took about 100 hours before it cleared. Then it went to Anchorage. Perhaps they all had to go that route due to President Trump's visit to Asia.

Apple's Terrible job shipping! Just finally received my UPS email showing my iPhone X has finally made it to the States yesterday. They now show I should have it Monday. That is 12 days after UPS received it. Ridiculous

You'd think because of this delay that Apple or UPS would have at least upgraded my delivery to Saturday.

Apple, you dropped the ball big time this time, Very disappointed.

Note, because I was disgusted with Apple's performance I tried to cancel, can't do that until it arrives Monday, if it does. Then I will return...

i ordered mine on the 27th at 5:25 AM central. I am promised delivery on 11/24 by apple though UPS claimed 11/21. Ups now says delivery rescheduled and delayed in ZhengZhou and no information is available. I Haven't been waiting nearly as long as anyone else so far but that doesn't mean it's not BS. 1 rack for a phone and this is what we pay for. Look at the care for the customers. My 6s is broken and i actually need this phone; relying off the home phone now for all my calls. I really hope i don't have to wait another ducking month.

Honestly, I’ll mever pre-order again. I walked down to the apple store on Friday and picked up two. It was too late to cancel my order so I’ll just cancel when I get back from my trip. If people can get them earlier than those who woke up at 2am (start of preorder) to order online it just *****. Other than the initial stock at stores on launch day they should send you a message and let you pick up in stores near you if yours hasn’t been shipped when they get stock in

Nov 19, 2017 8:21 PM in response to jihui88

I Agree that Apple should never have tried selling products they don't have in stock. At 12:01 AM launch day you could not get through. 12:05 AM got my order through and it was already 2 to 3 weeks late, Really. Was told Apple had product for 10 minutes, I got my order in in 5, so what Apple stated was disingenuous, or did they not allow enough product fro US? Once upon a time Apple would not do this. They sold by country, US and I think Canada was first, 2 weeks later they added another country. Every week or two they added another Country. People knew when it was their turn to order instead the stupid free for all they did this time. This didn't happen with Steve Jobs, disappointed how Tim did these sales this time. Doesn't Apple know this only trashes their reputation? Then I showed it was shipped on the 8th in China, sat there 6 days, Korea 4 days to just sit there... It's been sitting in Oregon for 3 days. Thought because of all the delays I could have had it Saturday IF Apple would have upgraded the delivery for all us experiencing these delays. Guess this is the new Apple, customers don't count much. If it arrives on Monday it will have been in shipping for twelve (12) Days which is so stupid I can't find the words.

It just gets better, RIDICULOUS! After already waiting 12 days for my iPhone X, having it FINALLY scheduled for delivery, tomorrow Monday the 20th I just received this ******** from UPS at 11:00 this evening;

11/19/201711:00 P.M.A mechanical failure has caused a delay. We will update the delivery date as soon as possible. / Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day.

This is a bunch of crap and someone should be made accountable! This has been sitting in OR for 3 days and instead of shipping it, Fri, Sat or even today USP waited to the last minute to ship and now they have a mechanical. UPS was bad before, now they are worse. Apple how about FedEx instead?

My delivery, if it happens Tuesday it will be 13 days after shipment of the 8th. What is really a drag, because of theft in my area, I could not pre-sign. Thanks for waiting until 11 PM UPS, I already have someone coming over tomorrow AM to sign for my package, as I also had someone here for the 13th, 14th, 16th and 17th...all days UPS told me it would be delivered. If this is not ***** service I don't know what is!

You do understand how shipping works right? Once the phone is out of Apple's hands and in the hands of the shipper, Apple has no control over the shipment. If you want to moan and whine like an entitled child, feel free. But this isn't the place to do it as you clearly don't have a question to ask and this is a user to user technical support forum, not a rant forum. Take your angst out where it belongs, which is with UPS.

Nov 20, 2017 9:17 AM in response to Ski Pro

They shipped UPS worldwide Expedited service, which delivers 4-5 days guarantee. When i tried complaining to Apple, they said they are using fastest delivery service. Then i complained to UPS, its another copy & paste message saying “it should arrive soon, just keep on tracking”. Again, this is a negotiated service that routes through a small UPS facility in Korea where customers experienced occassional Mechanical failure and misc delays.

Nov 20, 2017 10:58 AM in response to lobsterghost1

You are correct, this isn’t a place to vent necessarily.

Apple does actually have a part in the shipping, they can choose fedex instead.

UPS is not taking responsibility for the delays. And shipping was free so now refund or reimbursement can be had.

Lastly, the bulk of the frustrations are that Timmy played many of those who pre-ordered.. you know the rest.

Nov 20, 2017 11:10 AM in response to jmdvnprt

Timmy as you want to call him (which is rude by the way) did no such thing. Do you think this is the first time in Apple history walk-ins were able to get phones without reservation or pre-order? Of course not. This started long before Tim Cook took over the reigns from Steve Jobs. In fact since at least iPhone 4, people have had the option to wait in line on launch day alongside those who pre-ordered and had a guarantee delivery. They took their chances and so too could you have. Whether any of us agree with this practice is immaterial. Apple has offered this option for a long time now.

Nov 20, 2017 1:40 PM in response to lobsterghost1

Just so you know. UPS just bounces you back to Apple. Both companies are badly mishandling this iPhone launch. I have received several conflicting notifications from both companies. I have had to cancel or reschedule appointments several times. On the morning the iPhone was delivered I received emails from both of them that the shipment would be rescheduled for another day. As much as I like Apple products, I do believe we were played by Apple.
