iPhone X shipping delays in Korea

I ordered iPhone X on Oct 27, 3 am EST and it was shipped on 11/07/17.

After it arrived in Incheon, Korea on 11/08/17 at 7:40pm, I have not received any further update, it has been sitting there for approximately 78 hours, is this normal?

UPS World Expedite service commits to deliver in 4-5 days, the expected delivery from day it is shipped is 8-9 days.

Yada, yada, yada. Mine went through Incheon also. Yours probably went to the same K-POP concert as mine. Took about 100 hours before it cleared. Then it went to Anchorage. Perhaps they all had to go that route due to President Trump's visit to Asia.

Yeah I get the process of shipping to their hubs, but its not efficient shipping if the shipping process has been 8 days now and the product is actually further away from me than when it started. Anyways, latest update on my phone: USP flight was late in Kentucky so not arriving today, not arriving tomorrow, but rather Monday (maybe).

ps. I will never pre-order from Apple again, that was counter-productive (regardless of sorry shipping process) 🙂

That has to do with the UPS computers, plane availability, weather, airports, etc. Apple has nothing to do with it. But if you go to buy it on the first day of release and you have an outgoing personality it can be fun and you can meet a lot of new people. But buy a comfortable portable chair, charger, etc. now as you will be in line for about 14 hours or so. Or you can skip the first day, start a few days later, and get up early and check on what of the iPhone stock websites and go get in line early. You won't have to stand in line as long but you may have to do this several times.

I am VERY disappointed in Apple. My iPhone showed it was to ship on the 8th, saw it ready for pickup. showed it was to be deliver on 14th now 16th, However, that's not going to happen because it's still in Korea. UPS tells me they have no clue why it went from China to Korea, nor when it will be leaving. Those I know that ordered 64k received them on the 3rd. Those of us that ordered 256k on time, got had. My feeling that Apple should have done as they have in the past, US ordered first then a week or 2 later they opened it up to another country. I believe they never should have taken any orders until they had inventory to deliver. God only know when my order will be leaving Korea, and why now are they going China to Korea, they didn't use too?

I do know people who got their 256GB on the 3rd, they have done pre-orders for more than the US since I can remember, UPS has two major stopping points out of the original destination, Shanghai and Incheon. They are about the same distance to Anchorage. Apple also uses FedEx still (that is who delivered my coffee mates phone).

Same BS with mine here. Ordered on 10/27 at 3:08AM and still don't have it. Meanwhile Verizon Iphone X is at every Apple store around me in stock 64GB and 256GB. Just buy go and pick it up. What kind of BS is this? None for T-Mobile but Verizon is available, why can't I buy Verizon and use it on T-mobile if I am buying it outright from Apple and it's unlocked? Since when in US when you have money you can't just go and buy it if it's being sold?

I had a similar problem. My iPhone was due to arrive today. When I didn't see an update since Tuesday, I called UPS (A waste of time)....they referred me to Apple......also a waste of time. About an hour ago I received a notice from UPS that I should receive the phone on November 21. Now I have to reschedule an appointment in addition to staying home all day today. Apple said that Customs in Korea was the holdup.

The cost to ship to Korea...unload....then reload (double handling) has to cost more than a direct shipment to anyplace in the US direct from China. I think Apple has been playing the bunch of us. I believe they didn't have the inventory, but wanted to have the orders ( and the money). The whole launch of the iPhone X has been one of the worst in my memory.

Why do I have to go through this? Why not just make 1 model and make it work with all providers? I understand if I go to Verizon then I have to have an account to buy it from them and use it on their network, but if I go to Apple directly, why can't I just buy it for a full price and use it on any network I want?

It was over 22 years ago. I was responsible for all shipping worldwide. We were one of the first companies to use containerized shipping with Sealand, which was based in Oakland, California. I know that many changes have been made since then but handling anything more than once is going to be more costly. Enjoy your new iPhone!

I as well am having the same issues as everyone else, I don't know if i'll be purchasing from apple ever again. I actually have it in my mind to just return the **** thing when I receive it. I spent all this money to be jerked around by apple and UPS and to receive my phone so late. It's very annoying and very frustrating, by far the worst apple experience I have ever had and I have tons of products. Don't know if I should even buy anymore.

Yes u shouldprobably wait for a year and see if new iphone will last over 18 months, then get the S version. I noticed the quality of Apple producrs starts to decrease. Had two iPhone 6s plus, used solely on phone calls and text msgs, after 16 month of use, sudden shut down, apple don’t admit its their hardware failure. Their customer service is not as good as they used to be.
