iPhone X shipping delays in Korea

I ordered iPhone X on Oct 27, 3 am EST and it was shipped on 11/07/17.

After it arrived in Incheon, Korea on 11/08/17 at 7:40pm, I have not received any further update, it has been sitting there for approximately 78 hours, is this normal?

UPS World Expedite service commits to deliver in 4-5 days, the expected delivery from day it is shipped is 8-9 days.

Mine looks the same as yours.

Apple says to expect it sometime on Friday, but I don't know.

According to UPS, its still in China:

I'm glad it finally left china.

WHY DOES IT NEED TO SIT IN CHINA FOR OVER A WEEK?

ARE THEY PLAYING WITH MY PHONE BEFORE IT CAN LEAVE CHINA?

Thanks UPS for the great information . . .

I get that you're frustrated. A couple of points though.

  • Once the product is in the shippers hands, it's out of Apple's control
  • We're all users here and Apple isn't reading these threads (except by hosts to monitor inappropriate posts)
  • Threatening to go Samsung gets you nowhere
  • You can cut off your nose to spite your face, but this too shall pass

Your phone will come and the frustration will vanish once you've got this amazing phone in your hands.

Then apple shouldn't charge you until the phone is activated. Are they going to pro-rate the phone and refund me the week that I am waiting to receive the phone? Was the phone really shipped as it states or are they just trying to recognize revenue for before year end. For me, its not a spite thing, I am not an apple is the only product out there type of person. I have used the Samsung before as a bunch of my friends have it. It's not a threat, just a statement. A statement I have heard from other people so something Apple should take too lightly. I have no issue switching and trying something else. And you cant pass off the issues solely on UPS. If there are issues with the shipping company, Apple should look at other companies or to make it right with the customer. I am assuming this is causing them a ton of customer service issues that they would rather not have to deal with.

Also, I am not sure if you took a look at my tracking information. The frustration is trying to figure out whether this phone was actually shipped. Apple nor UPS can answer this for me, especially UPS, they are clueless. They have no idea what is going on. How does a phone go back and forth for times from china to Korea for a week. For over a $1000 phone, both companies should be able to give me an answer.

My package says it arrived in Incheon on the 22nd, but will arrive today, the 24th. According to Apple, it’s supposed to get here today but I haven’t heard anything. UPS finally updated my tracking info, saying it departed Incheon at 2:03am, Nov. 25th (their time). I don’t see any flights that left for Anchorage at that time, or for ZhengZhou, so I have no idea where my package is or where it is going. I have little to no faith that it will arrive today, despite Apple saying it would for about two weeks now.

Yeah, I see the same information, but I don't think it has actually arrived in Louisville. Unless some of the prior scans were incorrect. No way it flies from Korea to Kentucky in that time frame. I think the 1PM is only showing the time the upgrade was requested at the Kentucky hub (notice it doesn't show any arrival scan). However it could easily make it there and out to local hubs in time for delivery tomorrow if they push it.
