Pages, Numbers and Keynote not useable.

I have installed HighSierra 10.13.1. I installed updates to Pages, Numbers and Keynote. I can launch all 3, but nothing works when I make a selection from the drop down menus. I cannot even bring up previously created documents nor do I get the initial template options upon launch. I cannot even launch Preferences from the Pages, Numbers or Keynote drop down menus.

What exact versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote do you have installed?

Menu > Pages > About Pages etc

Try a restart of your Mac.

Try starting the Apps holding down the Shift key.

Check the sizes of the Apps in your Applications folder. They may not be fully downloaded.

The downloaded version according to Apple Store is:

Pages 6.3.1

Keynote 7.3.1

Numbers 4.3.1

I took these versions from the Apple Store Update List.

I cannot verify by clicking on "About Pages" etc. as nothing happens.

I tried holding down the Shift Key and the app launches, but I cannot bring up any thing from the drop down menus.

I restarted and that had no effect.

I do not know how to tell if I have fully downloaded the apps.

Pages shows 365.5MB

Keynote shows 594.7MB

Numbers Shows 276.9MB

Any more suggestions? You are my only hope.

Peter,

Thanks so much for your assistance.

It wasn't as simple as deleting and re-installing.

I had to got AppleCare they patched in the folks that specialize in the applications.

Long story short, I finally wound up with a Senior Advisor and we finally got all three of the applications working.

It only took about 3 hours.

Appreciate your efforts.

Regards,

Jim
