Apple pencil

Just bought my new iPad Pro and pencil tried to plug pencil in to the lightening port and i swear it seems like im going to break it so i didn’t force it in am i doing something wrong or do you literally have to force it in

iPhone X, iOS 11.1

No, you should not need to force it in, any more than you need to force in the iPad charger. Same port, same amount of force.


Does it work easier if you plug the pencil into the port on your phone?


Does the Pencil's Lightning connector look the same as the one for your charger cable?


Do note that the pencil does not go all the way in, so it will not sit flush with the iPad.
