Airplay to Xbox one

I couldn't find what I figured was the best forum so here we are. We should be able to airplay (music, at least) to xbox one. My Bose does it and it is airplay compatible. I have all apple devices in house but my game system is hard wired to older stereo. Please, no "this is apple and that is microsoft" type answers. Simple protocol issue maybe? Proprietary? It's all software. Should be able to install what I want in my home and have it all work together regardless of manufacturer. Not talking about hundreds or thousands of options here. Just the two or three "big kids" on the block. I know we can't now. I am asking about future, I guess. What do you think? Thanks.
