I'm getting an issue since updating to 10.13.1 Mac Mail on High Sierra, whereby the preferences keep resetting themselves.
The items I seem to notice :-
Anyone else having this issue or have a cure for this?
iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)
I have the same problem without any cause effect and extremely random mail loses all settings. It never happened in 12 years I am using Mac. Wondering why the quality check is not there anymore ?
Interestingly I tried to trash ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist but the file doesn't exist.
There is a preference file named com.apple.mail-shared.plist.
Yes I'm running 10.13.1. Previously in my efforts to correct this problem I trashed com.apple.mail.plist figuring that Mail would recreate it but apparently it does not.
Thanks for everyones comments, mainly glad I wasn't alone with the issue. Thank you Glenn, I have carried this out for now and will monitor 😀
Incidentally I downloaded the High Sierra update by email notification link and not the Appstore, although I rather guess they are linked.
High Sierra - Mac Mail preferences reset every few days back to default.
