Before update Spotlight gave full search results, e.g. Clare would give folders, documents, jpegs etc. Now no jpegs and only a few folders or files, despite preselection in preferences. Can anyone help us?

I am having the same problem. However, the resolution did not work, I still do not find much in Spotlight.
Interestingly, it makes a difference between searching via the menubar items and searching in Finder.
What else could I attempt to get the search functionality back? (it worked fine under Sierra)
