photos assigns the wrong name to a location

I've got a strange issue with the Photos app where it has assigned an incorrect name to a location on a bunch of photos taken at a common location, and try as I might I cannot correct the issue.

So - I work at a research facility that is adjacent to a University campus. The location that has been pinned is seemingly correct as shown in the map (as displayed through the info panel using "command-i").

However, the name listed for that location is almost completely wrong; the first part of the listed name is somewhat correct in that it lists the university, but the remainder of the name is for some school of law many kilometres away.

I've tried various iterations of clearing the name and entering the name of our facility - which appears correctly with the proper address in the results (drop down) list - and selecting it, but whenever I select that the "bad" name always comes up to over-write what should really be there.

So, it seems to me that either there is some bad data recorded somewhere in the Apple Mapping ecosystem, or this is some sort of local problem with my data. I say local, but of course that's no longer really the case with the interaction with the cloud and presumably some database for the map information, etc.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to purge that location information from these particular photos; if "revert to Original Location" is selected it always brings back the bad data.

For what it is worth, I don't see the "bad data" on Apple Maps, which is one reason I wonder if this is something that became "stuck" in my local data.

Any insights out there?
